About this Event
The Embodiment Conference 2020 – Trauma and Social Change Channel
I have created this event as a response to my talk at The Embodiment Conference 2020 on “Transforming Trauma History in the Present via Nonviolent Communication into Individual and Collective Grieving, Softening and Unifying”
This group’s aims are to meet and witness each other’s griefs and losses with respect, safety and trust, to be heard without judgment and to be received with acknowledgement, empathy, presence and welcome.
We aim to be present for connection with each other, to reawaken our sense of belonging to Earth, to accept what has happened with compassion, to remember our common humanity.
Our intention is to embody our emotions associated with grief as they arise, to let our hearts break, to accept the discomforts and give them love individually and collectively and let our hearts open to receive empathy and kindness.
This will be a sacred space for the opportunity to speak and express the aliveness of our stories, in the past, where our ancestors have walked ahead of us or in the present, where we walk in their footsteps and encounter stumbling blocks and obstacles on our way.
We wish to name the trauma and griefs that are too big for us to hold on our own, to name the experiences of our ancestors, the pains we have inherited and to mourn their losses. We wish to mourn those in times of domination, their helplessness and powerlessness as well as their dignity and the love and appreciation they felt for each other.
